About Us

Amanda Haas is a writer and entrepreneur with a passion for building strong, interconnected community organizations. She has over 20+ years of experience serviing grassroots nonprofit organizations with a shared vision for social justice. She is the owner and founder of UpWrite, LLC, a mission-driven business providing grant writing, editing, and training services for diverse nonprofits. Amanda grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attended Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She has a B.A. in English and Women's Studies, with a focus on nonfiction creative writing.

UpWrite, LLC was founded in 2015 and currently serves dozens of nonprofits in San Antonio and South Texas through grant writing, reporting, and proposal preparation. UpWrite primarily serves nonprofits in the areas of art, culture, and social justice. UpWrite also provides grant writing support to several independent artists, activists, and healers pursuing funding for innovative projects.
